Show & Tell Item - 1

(Signed Photo from Curly Howard to Harry Cohn)

Now here's a little something cute. This hilarious picture of Curly Howard surfaced on Ebay a couple of years ago. This was an actual photograph doctored as a gag gift for Curly Howard. This photo was given to Curly's boss Jack Cohn and the President of Columbia Pictures back in the Stooges glory days. Jack was known as a real "hard-assed" boss. He was known as a brutally cut-throat business man who happened to take a huge liking to the Stooges. Gee, I wonder why?

The Stooges made Cohn, and Columbia a ton of money back in the 30's & 40's and still do today. You'll notice that the seller covered Curly's little baby privates as not to offend anyone in the World's Largest Marketplace. If anyone knows anything else about this photo, please email me with more details. Or how about another scan of the photo showing the goods? This thing is hilarious.

The photo is probably dated back to around 1944 or 1945. I'm guessing based on Curly's facial appearance... definitely the latter half of his career.

The signature reads:

"To my boss Jack Cohn - This is the first on our new series of shorts" - Curly Howard

Show & Tell Item - 2

(Very Rare Shemp, Moe & Larry Color Photo)

A rather unusually rare color photograph of the boys in costume. Most likely from the early 1950's. Items like this are very rare as they were not reproductions of a photograph but are one-of-a-kind originals. Photographs like this one are worth well into the $300 range and up. Signed photos like this are worth upward of $1,000 bucks.
