SYN: This short (a spoof on TV's Dragnet) features Moe as (Halliday), Larry as (Tarraday) and Shemp as (St. Patrick's Day) among other hilarious goofy names. The boys have just graduated from criminology school, and are now full-fledged detectives. Captain F.B. Eye assigns them to their first big case...to track down the Eel, a robber who goes around masquerading as a woman. In a wild escapade at the Biltless Hotel, the Stooges decide to go deep undercover and disguise themselves as women too. However, the Eel is too slick for the green-horn Stooges and manages to sneak away from the Biltless Hotel and remain at large, possibly to this day. The Stooges end up taking on a new career in the fine art of ditch-digging.

Quick Hits:

- The scenes of Larry on a building ledge were actually budgeted under the film Wham Bam Slam (9/1/55).
