SYN: While painting the office of a famous private investigator, Shemp imagines what it would be like to be a Sheerluck Holmes. He imagines the success, the fame and of course the beautiful women in desperate need of your help. At that very moment, in rushes Louise, a desperate woman in need of help. She explains that there are men following her and she can't understand why. The Stooges rush out into the hall to check for unwanted visitors as Louise is suddenly abducted, having only enough time to compose a quick note explaining her wherabouts (A mad scientist's mansion). Seeing this as an opportunity to be heroes, the boys head out in search for answers and of course, the beautiful blonde. Upon arriving at the mansion, the Stooges confront the mad scientist, who needs a human brain for his headless mechanical man. His choice: one of the Stooges. Fortunately, the Stooges manage to escape with their heads intact, along with the girl. They hitch a ride with the first car that passes by...it just happens to be the headless man!
