SYN: The antics of Furniture shopowners Moe, Larry and Shemp are displayed in full force as they show off their not-so-cautious woodworking skills. After getting his nose nearly cut-off by a table saw, and then getting his eye glued shut, Moe receives a call from one of his customers whom he has taken an obvious liking to. A perplexed Gladys Scudder calls and is expecting her new furniture delivered "TODAY!" as it was promised to be completed days ago. While delivering furniture to Gladys' house, a radio broadcast is interrupted by the news that two well-dressed bandits have robbed $50,000 from a local jewelry store. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the capture of these men. One is six-foot-two, heavily built, and has a scar on his left cheek. Shemp doesn't hear the other mug's description because the bandits themselves enter the room and turn off the radio. It seems they want Gladys' jewelry too. But bandits, Louie and Steve's jewelry capers come to an abrupt end when Moe, Larry and Shemp capture them and spoil their plans. The police show up just in time and haul off the dastardly villians.

Quick Hits:

- Director Edward Bernds, adamant that eyepokes not be used in the Stooges films he directed, displays an uncharacteristic degree of exaggerated violence in this short. The woodworking scene in the first 4 minutes of this short, is just out of control. I love it!

FN: The painting a cuckoo clock and revarnishing an antique table gags were borrowed from Tassels in the Air (4/1/38).
