SYN:
The Stooges run section 13 of
the detective bureau like the run their lives: no-nonsense and gritty
to the bone. But B.A. Copper, their boss, isn't satisfied with attitude;
he wants the killer of Slug McGurk captured and he wants it done now.
The Stooges cross-examine top suspect Antonio Zucchini Salami Gorgonzola
de Pizza, a British-accented Italian organ-grinder, but still cannot
find a break in the case. Even the confession of Gilbraith Q. Tiddledewadder,
a.k.a. Chopper, doesn't seem legit to the savvy gumshoes. When the
real killer walks into the precinct ready to kill, however, the Stooges
are bailed out by de Pizza's partner, an eagle-eyed monkey that handles
a revolver like a seasoned Wild West gunslinger.

In a hilarious key gag, Shemp is shot
in the chest at point blank range multiple times. Moe rushes over
to aid his dying comrade. In the process he pours a whole bottle
of Old Panther whiskey down his throat to ease the pain. When Shemp
miraculously shows signs of life Moe shouts out for a doctor and
an ambulance, but Shemp insists on a plumber instead as whiskey
is shown gushing from several small bullet holes in his chest.
